Betsy {maternity}

i am so so glad that i was able to make it up to the hospital last week and take these pictures. anyone who is pregnant or has been pregnant knows that its no walk in the park. even a healthy pregnancy is rough. betsy was pregnant with twin girls when i took these pictures. she has had a very difficult pregnancy with complications from the start and has spent over 7 weeks in the hospital on bed rest. through it all she has stayed so positive. she is so strong and how she made it i will never know. she recently said in a facebook post that her husband lee called to congratulate her when she made it 30 weeks. he said "you did it" and she said "no lee, we did it". her hospital room felt more like a dorm room or little apartment. i think she knows all the nurses by their first names and they are all more like friends now. this pregnancy was so special and unique betsy has a twin sister herself and now to be having twin girls is pretty amazing. with so much love and support from all her friends and family betsy made it, her twin girls made it. they arrived last night 💕 oh...and the adorable little girl in the pictures is loralei. she going to be the best big sister!!!
